Lake Eacham National Parks Office: The National Parks and Wildlife Office for the Crater Lakes National Park is situated at the rainforest edge on McLeish Road. It is a 2 minute drive from Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodge. The National Parks office includes an information centre which caters for people interested in learning more about the Crater Lake history, rainforest ecology, birds and animals of the area. The friendly professional staff can answer almost any questions and have information brochures on the Lake and the surrounding area's birds and other Wildlife. It is well worth visiting if you are planning on walking any of the Lakes walking trails. A short distance from the information centre takes you to the beginning of the 700 metre Lake Eacham Self Guided Walking trail to Lake Eacham. |
